About Us
Joint Biobank(JBB)
KMUH Joint Biobank (KMUH-JBB) was established in Dec. 2010 by KMU and affiliated hospitals (Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital, KMTTH; Kaohsiung Municipal HsiaoKang Hospital, KMHK) , and it has been operating under a single consolidated research information system.
The KMUH-JBB was approved at July 14, 2016 through the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The KMUH-JBB is an archive for systematized collection of human biological specimens in supporting biomedical research and other applications, including tissues, blood, and body fluids from a variety of cancer patients.

Biological specimen application, committee review, biological specimen transportation

Biobank Ethic Committee
According to uHuman Biobank Management Actv, Biobank Ethic Committee (BEC)was established in May 2011. BEC does not only ensure the proper collection, storage and usage of Biological specimen in Joint Biobank, but also protect the rights of participant in Joint Biobank to promote the development of scientific research.
