KMUH and AbbVie Sign MOU Powerhouse Partnership to Advance Taiwan’s Medical Research Excellence

On May 29, 2025, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital (KMUH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with global biotech leader AbbVie to enhance clinical trial efficiency, elevate research quality, and strengthen international competitiveness. Through the “Research Team Resource Integration Program,” this strategic partnership sets a new standard for high-efficiency clinical research collaboration.

A standout achievement of this collaboration is KMUH’s leadership in a clinical trial for metastatic colorectal cancer, where it became the first among global research centers to enroll the initial participant. This milestone highlights KMUH’s exceptional clinical trial execution and international competitive edge, underscoring Taiwan’s pivotal role in global new drug development.
