2023.04.13 Ensuring Public Health Safety: KMUH Receives Dual Certification for Quality of Disease Care Domestically and Internationally

With advancements in medical technology, the survival rates and lifespans of patients have significantly increased, emphasizing the importance of health literacy and promotion in healthcare quality. To enhance quality medical care, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital strives for integrated disease care and has received dual certifications for disease care quality from both domestic and international organizations. These include 14 disease care quality certifications from the Joint Commission of Taiwan (JCT), covering a broad spectrum of conditions such as asthma, COPD, heart failure, coronary artery disease, pain management, traumatic brain injury, dementia, head and neck cancer, diabetes, joint replacement, pediatric joint dysplasia, stroke, breast cancer, and kidney disease. This makes it the hospital with the most certifications in southern Taiwan. Additionally, the hospital has earned 4 Clinical Care Program Certifications (CCPC) from the Joint Commission International (JCI) for excellence in the care of acute myocardial infarction, knee replacement, breast cancer, and chronic kidney disease.
