The 26th National Biotechnology and Medical Care Quality Award ceremony, organized by the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI), is often referred to as the "Oscars of the biomedical industry." Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital (KMUH) won the Gold Award in the Nursing Care Services category with their "Heartfelt Care and Empowerment: Integrated Home Parenteral Nutrition Care Team." The judges recognized the team’s quality as meeting world-class standards.

KMUH has been promoting "Integrated Home Parenteral Nutrition Care" for 25 years with remarkable results and high quality. Last year, it became a national policy, making the hospital a pioneer in home-based medical care.

The integrated home parenteral nutrition care team is patient-centered and includes parenteral nutrition nurses, clinical nurses, home care nurses, case managers, doctors, dietitians, and pharmacists. This award highlights the necessity of interdisciplinary teamwork, which not only helps patients become familiar with home parenteral nutrition care but also increases the number of home medical care patients and improves the quality of home treatment. Additionally, the hospital received seven SNQ (Symbol of National Quality) awards, symbolizing their relentless effort in patient care and continuous quality improvement.
