Congratulations to Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital for Winning the Bronze Award at the 2024 8th Taipei Golden Eagle Micro Movie Festival.

　　The Taipei Golden Eagle Micro Movie Festival is organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). The competition focuses on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to use the power of micro-movies to convey stories of sustainable development and raise public awareness of sustainability.

　　This year, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital competed in the 2024 8th Taipei Golden Eagle Micro Movie Festival with the theme “A Warm Escort: A Fortress of Love and Dignity for the Elderly.” Out of 183 entries, our hospital was awarded the Bronze Award for Sustainable Micro-Movie, becoming the first hospital to ever receive this honor and the only hospital to win an award this year!

　　According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, reports of domestic violence against the elderly surged between 2019 and 2021. In response, our hospital’s "Integrated Services for Elderly Protection" program provides professional forensic evaluation and medical services to help elderly individuals navigate difficult times, offering support and assistance to every person in need, and protecting them from violence. We strive to make a social impact by caring for the vulnerable and promoting sustainable inclusion!
