KMUH Partners with MacroInsight Innovation Ltd. to Create a New Model of "Low-Carbon Healthcare"
Ą@Ą@Amid pressing global challenges such as climate change, economic growth, social equity, and wealth disparity, the United Nations has established the "2030 Sustainable Development Goals." In alignment with this, Taiwan has set a target to reduce carbon emissions by 32% by 2032. To foster a harmonious balance between healthcare and the environment, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital (KMUH) has partnered with MacroInsight Innovation Ltd. Leveraging edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the latest Apple M4 chip, they have developed three innovative medical AI models: the "Mammography Image Quality Detection System," the "Endotracheal Tube Anomaly Alert System," and the "Sudden Cardiac Death Risk Prediction System." While striving for excellence in healthcare quality, KMUH uses technological innovation to advance sustainability goals in the medical industry. This collaboration establishes a new paradigm of "low-carbon healthcare," demonstrating actionable steps toward an environmentally friendly and healthy Taiwan.
