This division was established on August 1985. The aim of this establishment is to provide a professional and high quality medical service to patients with hepatic, biliary and pancreatic diseases. Our services include:

(1) Diagnosis and treatment of various kinds of hepatitis, e.g. detection of hepatitis B virus DNA and hepatitis C virus RNA and treatment of acute or chronic hepatitis.

(2) Treatment and education of liver cirrhosis and the complication, such as ascites, hepatic encephalopathy.  

(3) Diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with biliary system and pancreas.

(4) Diagnosis and treatment of various kinds of hepatic, biliary and pancreatic tumors, e.g. color Doppler sonography in the differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors；ulrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and biopsy；ultrasound-guided local ablation therapy (percutaneous ethanol injection, radiofrequency ablation)；trans-hepatic arterial chemoembolization；target therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma.
