The Pediatric Surgery division founded in 1976, is one of the first few such division in this nation. Our practices are concerned with surgery of various congenital anomalies, acquired diseases and trauma in infants and children less than 18 years of age. A few excellent techniques have been well developed in this department, such as one-trocar laparoscopic transperitoneal closure of pediatric inguinal hernia, modified posterior sagittal anorectoplasty for imperforate anus and modified Soave’s procedure for Hirschsprung’s disease.
