The department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, with a strong belief to pursue the most advanced medical technology and a dedication to providing patients with safe and reliable medical care, offers a full spectrum of women’s health services. In order to facilitate good quality care, we have the most advanced medical equipments such as 4D Ultrasound Scanner, Sperm, Egg, and Embryo micro-operation system, Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy and Angiography system. Currently, the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics has three divisions: Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Reproductive Medicine. The Gynecologic Oncology Service has a hospital-wide oncologist team to provide women with cancer with oncology care. We are experienced in several kinds of mini-invasive operations that include laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopic surgery, and surgeries on urogynecologic disorders and surpelvic organ prolapse. In Obstetrics, we also have expertise in a wide variety of complex and high risk pregnancies and deliveries, including Transcatheter Uterine Arterial Embolisation for postpartum hemorrhage. We are also relentlessly creating a women friendly environment for the hospital. In Reproductive Medicine, we have the state-of-the art assisted reproductive technology such as In Vitro Fertilization, Micromanipulation and Embryo Preservation, etc.
Division of Reproductive Medicine
Division of reproductive medicine has an isolated, including out-patient clinic, oocytes retrieval room, semen collection room, artificial insemination room, embryological laboratory, and VIP rest room. We have many advanced equipments, including spindleview, computer assisted semen analysis, micromanipulator, embryo freezer, hysteroscopy, embryo scoring system, zona laser drill system, we are honored to be the training center of infertility and so on. The medical services include:

Division of Gynecology
The Gynecologic and Obstetric department at Koahsiung Medical University Hospital cerebrates a tradition of excellence for over 40 years. Apart from the accomplished oncological surgeries, endoscopic surgery has also advanced to world class standard. our department has become the Taiwan Association of Gynecologic Endoscopist authorized training center in year 2008. Now, we are focus on advancement on treating urinary incontinence as well as pelvic relaxation. To tackle the problem of incontinence, we have introduced the latest tension free vaginal surery. Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital is hoping to become the guarding angle of women in southern Taiwan.
Division of Obstetrics
The division of Obstetrics mainly provides full-course care to pregnant woman. We offered the genetic consultation and health examination to the pregravid women, the cares and surveillance for mother and fetus during pregnancy and management of labor and postpartum. The services of Obstetrics include:
