Ultrasound center was officially established to operate at November 2003 for the purpose of effective promotion the efficacy of ultrasound instruments, improvement of technology, and establishment a suitable teaching environment. The applications of ultrasonic examinations and ultrasound-guided examinational and therapeutic procedures performed in Division of Hepato-biliary-pancreatic Medicine, Division of Hepato-biliary-pancreatic Surgery, Division of Nephrology, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Department of Medical Imaging were integrate into the operation of this center. The center has modern ultrasound instruments which can provide most reliable information. Moreover, all ultrasound-related procedures were performed by physicians rather than technicians. Therefore, the center can provide good quality of operation and good environments for the academic research and teaching for both young physicians and students.
