Banking

Other than the conventional banking providers, Taiwan’s post offices provide banking services as well. You may open a bank account at any post office by providing the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), a valid passport, and an initial deposit of NTD10 along with a completed New Account Application Form. You will receive an ATM card and an account book once the new account is opened.

You can also withdraw the money with your VISA, Master Card, American Express or other credit cards from specific ATM. You could almost find ATM in the most 7-11 which runs for 24 hours. Make sure your credit card can withdraw the money from international banks or ATM. It is very important to double check with your local banks.
