Taiwan Tech Trek

  2. Program Summary:
    (1) Internship Quota: 230~280 interns, including 3~10 domestic interns
    (2) Internship Duration:
    1. Full Course: 2015/6/21~2015/8/15
    2. Group Activity: 2015/6/21~2015/6/26
    3. Intern Activity: 2015/6/29~2015/8/15
    4. If the intern wishes to begin ahead, or extend the internship schedule, it is the intern’s responsibility to contact the hosting department, and discuss the details of the desired time and internship content, and to receive approval from the said department. Neither living subsidiaries nor accommodations will be given for the time not within the original schedule. Interns must participate in the full duration of the internship even if they start ahead of the schedule.

    (3) Subsidiaries

    1. Intern Living Subsidiaries: Ministry of Science and Technology will provide each intern 600NT/day. full course participant will receive a total of 30000NT. (50days)
    2. International Intern Airfare Subsidiaries: Ministry of Science and Technology will provide each intern with 10000NT for traveling subsidiaries.
    3. Food and accommodations will be provided during the group activity period. (6/21~6/26)

    (4) Internship Qualification
    I. Domestic Student:

    1. Must be aged between 18~30 years old. (Born between 1985/8/15 ~1997/6/21)
    2. Must have previously participated in Ministry of Science and Technology’s Under-graduate student research seminar in years 2010~2014.
    3. Must be fluent in English, especially writing and speaking. Interns must provide English fluency certification. (One of following, General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) at least high-intermediate level, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score at least 5.5, Internet-Based Test (IBT TOEFL) at least 61, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) at least 600)
    4. The previous Taiwan Tech Trek participant may apply again, but first-timer will have priority.

    II. International Student:

    1. Must be aged between 18~30 years old. (Born between 1985/8/15 ~1997/6/21)
    2. Must be ethnic Taiwanese.
    3. Must not receive education beyond elementary level in Taiwan. (Including American schools and other foreign schools in Taiwan)
    4. Education level must be at least college sophomore and up. (Or will complete sophomore before 2015/6/21)
    5. Must not have full-time working experience in Taiwan. (Excluding Internship)
    6. Must be able to communicate with English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese. (Must fill out the language fluency questionnaires on the application form, and language fluency certification documents can be attached with the application form.)
    7. Non-studentship is not restricted, but if the applicant has Republic of China citizenship, compulsory military service might affect the applicant.
    8. The previous Taiwan Tech Trek participant may apply again, but first-timer will have priority.
