The Aboriginal Health Promotion Center contributes to the medical care and health promotion for the aboriginals in Taiwan. There were two dedicated physicians and two administration staffs to organize the medical center's (KMUH) colleagues to accomplish the mission for the aboriginals. KMUH currently support the function of clinics in three aboriginal district. |
Work description: |

- Basic training programs for understanding the aboriginal tribe in Taiwan, techniques for social work, health promotion and medical care in the community.
- Advanced program:Through discussion with our healthcare team for aboriginals, the applicants and our team members are going to develop a specific project for aboriginal village. The Taiwan aboriginal people had a higher rates of smoking, alcoholism, gouty arthritis, betal nut use and tuberculosis than the urban people. We conducted a health promotion project now and would like to have intern to participate our project.
