International Graduate Student Program

This program is not tired to a specific department, and the applicant is free to propose which department he or she would like to apply to, including but not limited to the departments described above. For further details, please refer to the work description section below.

Work description:

Our hospital offers short-term international graduate programs in a variety of research and clinical fields. The programs are suitable for graduate students and those recently graduated from research institutes. The programs are designed to provide students with practical experience to facilitate in the successful development of their careers. The distingusishing programs in our hospital include 1. Clinical care and research into hepatits B, hepatitis C and hepatocellular carcinoma. 2.Clinical care of HIV patient3. Occupational medicine and4. Oncology research. Other than the above programs, we also welcome the applicants to submit proposals for internship program of their own design, and we will evaluate the proposal to find appropriate departments in the hospital which can best accommodate the needs of the applicants. Participants in the programs will have the opportunity to study with students from kaohsiung Medical University as well. Each student will receive personal attention and guidance from the program’s faculty members.

The duration of each program ranges from 2 to 3 months. Although we are able to accommodate student who speak only English, as all of the faculty involved are able to speak English, we feel strongly that students who have at least a basic level of Chinese language skill will benefit much more from these programs. We are now accepting applications for the 2015 academic year.
