Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Department Profile:

  The Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine was originally established in 2003. Currently, there are 4 divisions under this Department and they are (1) Division of Chinese Internal Medicine, (2) Division of Gynecology and Pediatrics, (3) Division of Traumatology, and (4) Division of Acupuncture. In our department, the doctors got well-training of Chinese and western medicine. The treatments in clinic include herbal medicines, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping ,chiropractic, and tuina. The major diseases in our department include nasal allergy, insomnia, migraine, gastrointestinal diseases, cancers, stroke , dislocation of bone , sport injury, infertility , endometriosis, menopausal syndromes, and so on. There are 6 attending physicians and 6 resident doctors in our department.

Work description:

  The mainly clinical training is on the outpatient clinics. The training program of Acupuncture aims to teach students the theory of acupuncture and identification of acupoints on the body. Besides, we teach the students how to use moxibustion and cupping to relieve pains. The training program of Traumatology is to teach students how to relieve muscle pain and bone displacement by chiropractic and bone-setting manipulation. The training program of Internal Medicine is to teach students how to make diagnosis and treatment from theories of traditional Chinese medicine and herbal medicines. The training program of Gynecology aims to teach students about diseases of menstruation, leucorrhea, pregnancy, parturition, and others in traditional Chinese medicine.
